The Architects' Guide to Fencing explains the different options for fencing, including chain link, palisade, railings, welded wire mesh (weldmesh) and timber, highlighting the aesthetic and security characteristics of each. In addition, the guide discusses other issues that need to be considered at the same time as fencing, such as gates, barriers and complementary security measures.
Having described the hardware options, the guide presents information that will help architects to make the right selection, as well as listing British and European standards that may be applicable. Finally, the guide explains the importance of correct installation and what should be considered when selecting a supplier.
